why I did it: going healthy
When I first opened Dr. Gregor’s book How Not to Die in 2017, it was my Pandora’s box. Insights upon insights on living healthfully and avoiding diseases changed how I ate and lived. Yet, even after axing dangerous meats and dairies from our home, my curiosity persisted. I came upon the art of meditation next, and then mindfulness, and toyed with the idea of creating a zero waste, chemical-free home. These goals of organic living often seem impossibly far, but with small and simple steps, I’ve made my way to a place of joy and ease. Despite being far from where I wish to be, the journey of health has been exciting, beautiful, and one teeming with adventure and discovery. I hope to pass the torch along, for the sake of our Earth and its many inhabitants.
